Willy And Wormie

A little Willy Wagtail sits upon a rail
quietly watching all around and wags his little tail.
He looks a little hungry and soon begins to squirm
and sitting just below him is a big fat juicy worm.

The worm had lost its wriggle and looking very sad
but Willy wagged his tail and needed food real bad.
Have you seen my wriggle? the worm yelled to the bird,
and Willys tail stopped wagging when Wormie's voice was heard.

Without it I cant wriggle and I need to get back home,
I have a little baby and he is all alone.
I'll help you..! Willy shouted, His hunger now had passed,
Would you like to ride with me? he gracefully then asked.

I'll take you for a birdseye view up to the highest tree
and as you search the ground below, your wriggle you may see.
Together they searched long and hard, till the wriggle was espied.
Thanks to Willy wagtail and his very special ride.

Wormie soon was wriggling and Willy wiped his eye
he felt a tinge of sadness but had to say goodbye.
Now Willy comes back every day to sit upon his rail
watching out for wriggly worm and wags his little tail.
